What type of insurance do I need for affiliate marketing?

I plan to be an affiliate marketer for large Web sites, such as Amazon. I will specifically promote a camping stool and then direct people to sites where the people can purchase the stool.

Do I need liability insurance as the affiliate marketer? If yes, what do you recommend? Or can I just ask customers to click on a link that absolves me of responsibility?

The only insurance you need, will be insurance required by the contracts you have with sites like Amazon.

You can’t "opt out" of responsiblity by having someone sign a waiver, or click a button. You can have them do it, but it doesn’t get you off the hook.

Likely, your contracts are going to require liability coverage with broad form vendors, and additional insureds for the marketplace website; workers compensation, commercial auto hired & nonowned liability, and possibly umbrella liability coverage.
