Yes it is possible. I know a few people that have quit their "day jobs" to become affiliate marketers. But it does take some hard work. You need to find quality affiliate programs, and you need to do a great job with internet marketing. But the answer is YES you can make a living with Affiliate Marketing.
It’s definitely doable, but it takes a ton of work to get going. I’ve done a little affiliate marketing with very little success. I keep going here and there, but since I work full time, I can’t dedicate the time I would like to doing it more.
The 30 Day Challenge with Ed Dale is a great place to learn more about it if you don’t have any knowledge of the industry. I read quite a bit about aff marketing and most marketers have to work long strenuous hours in their first couple of years before seeing success. You need to be dedicated.
I really tried this,, I came into a company called americancarsigns.com and found I could basically work from home and I’m on track to make more than 50k for the year and I have only been at it since june!

You probably need to give yourself at least a year and a LOT of hard work to become a profitable affiliate marketer.
I would advise that you keep your day job and spend a few hours every night to work on this business. Only quit your job after you achieve your desired results.
It IS possible, but it takes hard work, like any other business. It’s not just a "sit-at-home-and-watch-the-money-fall-into-your-bank-account" kind of job like some affiliate marketers want you to think it is.
