Has anyone hear of UPromise..I am 90% sure it's not a scam or anything but I would like other opinions..?

UPromise is an organization that is affiliated with many different types of stores. For example, grocery stores, bath and body works, gas stations, etc… The way they work is you link your student loan with your UPromise account and after you’ve spent at the stores they are affiliated with then for all the other purchases you make a percentage goes to the UPromise account. The money you incur from all teh percentages goes to help pay down your student loan. In other words, I get gas at Exxon, Exxon put’s a percentage of what I spent there into my UPromise account, once I’ve racked up enough money I put it towards my student loans. I’ve called UPromise to get further information and they seem legit. I’ve looked it up and they still seem legit. They don’t sell my name to other people, they don’t charge me for anything, and they don’t ask me for anything. Has anyone used UPromise? Or has any info. regarding it…thxs in advance.
It’s www.upromise.com…if you wanna see the site.
The reason I’m worried is because they ask you to register your credit cards, gas cards, grocery cards, and to link your student loans to them…I forgot to put that part…sorry…They ask this so that way your purchases can be transferred.

It is legit. I’ve been a member for almost 5 years now. My only complaint is that the rewards flow painfully slowly- about $25-$30 per year in my case. But hey, it’s $25-$30 a year for free.

I have used Upromise for 3 years of college. I think like most people I was skeptical when I first signed up, it definitely requires a little effort to make it worth it and you need to have realistic expectations going into the program. However with a little effort I have managed to save close to $600 each year since I have started using it.
Here is an excellent article addressing whether Upromise is a scam if anyone is interested http://www.rewardsadviser.com/upromise-scam
    Enjoy
