Google makes Adsense easy and so does WordPress. Here are a few step by step instructions on how to add Adsense to your blog.

(Note that if you don't use wordpress you just follow the instructions to set up the adsense account and get the code for the ad from google then you paste it onto your website yourself instead of doing it with a plugin on wordpress).

1) The easiest thing to do is start with a WordPress plugin to quickly get you making money with adsense'

2) PS: You'll need a Google Adsense account.

There is no getting around it. If you want google to pay you when someone clicks on your ads, then you have to have a google aSense account.

But its easy. Click on this link to create your Google Adsense Account now Google AdSense Account.

Once you have the account Google will give you a lot of choices for what you want your ads to look like (what size, how many advertisements, etc).

Once you have decided google will give you the code for the ad. You will copy it and paste it into one of the 2 Adsense Plugins I have recommended.

3) I recommend the Free Adsense Now Redux Plugin or the Adssense Daemon Plugin. They are both FREE

Just search in the plugins, add new tab for "adsense Now redux!" and click install (or adsense Daemom).

Go to your settings tab, find Adsense Now redux and Click on it.

Click on the Instructions link titled " A few easy steps to setup AdSense Now!"

(Basically you paste your adsense code into a box, save it and you arre done. REALLY!)

3) Do not just pick a plugin by its title. Some are pains.

I do not recommend using the WP Simple Adsense Insertion plugin when it comes to the easiest way how to add Adsense to WordPress.

That is because there is to much code insertions for someone new to WordPress. Most new people want to turn it on and go! But I am including it here so you have another option. (But really you can just select any of the adsense plugins and try them).

4) That is why I also use the Adsense Daemon plugin on some of my sites.

It is super easy!

You install it.
It will appear in the "Settings" Tab of your wordpress Admin panel.
Click on "Adsense Daemon" and it will bring up a screen that lets you paste the google adsense code in one or more boxes.
You get to tell the plugin by clicking on a drop down choice list, where you want each add to appear (At the start, at the end, after the third paragraph, whatever).
You click "Save" near the bottom and thats it You are done!

OK this is a real review of a WordPress Plugin called Datafeedr. I used the new Datafeedr 3.0 version to create an affiliate store in my blog in about 2 hours! This 3.0 release is one of the most professional pieces of WordPress software that I have had the pleasure to use and I plan on making another store in another blog.

Datafeedr Background – what is an affiliate store?

OK Datafeedr 3.0 is a WordPress plugin. It creates a store in your WordPress blog. It does this by connecting to a datafeed from a one of the thousands of suppliers in the many supplier networks they have joined with and these suppliers have hundreds of millions of products.

For my blog store I chose 2 vendors from commission junction and they had 813,000 products to choose from.

From only 2 vendors. Cool.

But here is the best part:

With an affiliate store you stock no product.
You buy no product.
You don't do the shipping
You don't mess with returns
Its like drop shipping on steroids.

You market the product thru your website and all sales are handled by the supplier. You get a cut of the sale for bringing in the buyer.

How much do you make with a Datafeedr 3.0 affiliate store?

You get to keep an average of 10% of the sale or so based upon what i have seen. it varies from vendor to vendor.

Some products are as high as 50%% - 75% for electronic download items and as low as 1% (OK I would not sell anything for less then 4-6% and I shoot for 10%+) for some items.

DO THE MATH:

I have 2 vendors supplying my store and I get 10% of the sale from one and 8% from the other. My products range from $20 bucks to $5000 bucks (So I could not afford to sell them if I had to carry the inventory) but I get 10% of the high dollar items sale.

If I Sell just one of the $2000 – $5000 items a month I will make more then 98% of the blog owners do out there in a month!

And the reality is that I will add more vendors as time goes on and have a broad range of products at a broad range of profit margins.

OK so how did the DataFeedr plugin work and how hard is it etc?

I paid $27 for it. This is a steal. This is the best software I have used for a WordPress blog yet. And I own several packages that go for up to $200!
It took me 10 minutes to download and install the plugin.
It took me about 20 minutes to set up a commission junction account and find some vendors with products that i wanted to put in my store (they have dozens and dozens of major markets like commission junction and thousands of vendors I believe and millions of products.
It took me about an hour to figure out how to set up a store in their automated factory tool and to start adding products.
Since then I spent about an hour or two refining it.
And now its done!
It is set to drip feed new products to my store every 1-3 hours for the next 2 months (you do better in Google if you don't just dump a 1000 new pages on your blog in one day.)
Each item gets its own page post. Notice how the website looks like a blog and not a store. That was my choice. Its all in the Theme you use.
I choose the free theme Graphene. But I may change it. It is too narrow for my taste I think. I like a wide main blog page with a sidebar on each side. For this store I want to make sure that my blog posts stand out so people read them and then I can put links in the posts to item in the store!
Now I am working on getting links to the blog to bring in traffic and make sales!

Sure, everyone has to start somewhere but that does not mean that they should just charge in with automated affiliate software, set up an affiliate store and expect the money to roll in without learning a few basic things. THat is why we wrote this article. It is a must read for an anyone wanting to get into affiliate marketing.

Why Affiliate Marketing?

Rather than going through the laborious and expensive process of creating your own product (of dubious quality) and then trying to market it to the masses, why not start by finding a product that is well put-together and comes from someone who already has a high degree of credibility? This is true even if the product you are selling is information. You could save a lot of time, money, frustration, and will power; and you could make money in the process, too—in fact, really, really good money. Many top Internet marketers today still sell affiliate products, even though they make a killing off of their own. Why? Because it’s still fantastic money and little effort is required. I) Choosing a Bad Product to Promote -

In fact, that is probably the driving motivation behind your decision to sell affiliate products: for the most part, you have accepted that there are plenty of high-quality products already on the market; and, if you create your own, it might not compare favorably.

If you decide to pick your product off of a list on Clickbank, select very carefully. Rather than haphazardly selecting the product with the highest commission, look for ones that have the highest popularity and gravity ratings. In addition to picking good products within niches, you will also want to look for good niches. Here’s a stupid tip that will illustrate my point nonetheless: don’t sell garden hoses in the winter. Also, make sure to check for the new up and comers AND check the status of the products you already sell every few months. Some products start out great and die off quickly. Why? It could be word of mouth that the product is bad. Whatever the reason you need to review your products egularly and be ready and willing to switch a product if it is no longer selling well. DON’T FALL IN LOVE WITH THE PRODUCTS YOU MARKET! Its a business.

People that get high quality affiliate software to set up their affiliate store often fall into this trap the most. They rely entirely on the software and forget to do their own part in monitoring the success of their products.

A low converter is an item that does not sell despite a lot of people clicking on your ad and going to the Merchant or Manufacturers website to read their offer or learn more about their product.

As an affiliate marketer, your goal is to profit from the hard worker others have done; and from the money they have spent on copywriters, product developers, and software. If you select a product that underutilizes these advantages, you are likely to benefit less. Take, for instance, conversion rates.Sometimes great products with great ads don’t convert well.

I recomend going to the affiliate networks that your products are marketed in and look at the analytic reports regularly.

Pay close attention to the ratio of hops to sales page impressions to sales.

The simple mathematical reasoning goes something like this: virtually everyone who would have purchased the product will opt in to your mailing list. And many who definitely would not have purchased the product will opt in to your mailing list. Instead of converting at a rate of around 1-3% (in affiliate sales), you will convert between 15 and 40% of visitors (to your mailing list). From there, you will get the chance to contact the willing buyers and the more reluctant. Additionally, once they’re on a list, this is no longer a one-off effort. You get the chance to market to them again and again for months or even years. As a marketer, one of the best tools you have available is your list. VI) Ignoring the Importance of Timeliness -

In business in general, the quick often out compete those endowed with greater resources. Today, Google is no longer a small company with meager revenues, but in the past, it emerged from nowhere to out compete massively well-endowed rivals; and it did so with cunning.
